[#12452918]

A mate of mine has broken the lever on his 2017 RaceFace Turbine dropper and is after a replacement.
It's cable actuated but one of the older ones where the nipple as it the lever with the pinch bolt at the dropper end, so more of a PITA to fit. Any recommendations on a lever that will do the job? Cheers

You could get a lever that clamps at the lever end, then just cut the nipple off the end of the cable? I like the Bontrager lever

What they said. The levers that clamp the cable can work either way around. The levers that need a nipple can not. So everyone makes their level a clamping lever now.

I'm not sure if the nipple can go at the dropper end on this TBH as not seen it in the flesh. Would give more choice of levers if it did...

+1 for the Bontrager lever, the posher version - probably "Line Elite" is good value and v nice to use

The Bontrager line Elite lever is indeed nice. The post, not quite as nice, mine is out of the bike waiting for a keyway set as it's got lots of wiggle and play, so much so it's actually a bit rattly.
So I've fitted a Brand X for new new from CRC but using the Bontrager lever still

It doesn't need to. If post end clamps on and the lever end clamps on then just cut the nipple off (or use it as a glorified cable end cap to stop cable fraying).

I'm a big fan of the Bike Yoke triggys, they're not very 'bling' but they just work very well and they clamp the cable so can be used at either end.

I replaced the stock rattly Race Face lever with a Wolf Tooth light action one, cable still clamps on the lever as before.

My X Fusion post has a Shimano lever, which is the nicest one I've used. However, none of them I find that much nicer to bother paying more than -

or even

just don't find them something worth splashing out on
Some are such an utter rip-off

I have the Wolf Tooth regular action and also the One Up one that came with my bike. Both work really well but the Wolf Tooth is a thing of beauty and feels the best.

Is it worth £70? Probably not, but I got a bonus at work that month and well, you only live once eh? ;-D
