Best to use carbon assembly paste or will it be fine?

I wouldn't entertain the idea of not using some sort of carbon paste if only to discourage the post from slipping. Why risk a problem down the line for a smear of lube?

Seen a few in the workshop that have seized, not a chance of us sending out a carbon bike without any in the seat-tube. As Ogri say's, why create a potential frame wrecking problem.
