[#388685]

Building a bike for my fussy daughter and as she never seems to use more than one of the front chain rings I'm thinking about getting a single for the front. Thought it might keep the weight down too.

Anyway, is this normal / a bad idea / will it work?

And what type or size (cheap) chainset should I be looking for (in the classifieds)?

SHouldn;t be an issue if it's not too hilly.

Really any shimano/raceface one will do so long as you can change the ring to say a 32t non-shifting/DH style single ring.

Like Mayeb a Shimano Octalink that came of my Pitch that I have in teh shed complete with a BB, par example ๐Ÿ˜†

Thanks for clearing that up, also I'm only looking to spend about 25 - 30 squids.
