My brother was out for a ride today near Gatwick and he came upon the route of a race. While riding along near the Fox Revived pub he saw a chap in a Dorking cycling club shirt who looked to be either scattering or picking up drawing pins, just before the final straight.
I hope he was picking them up. Let's see if DCC do particularly well due to punctures received by the competition in the final straight.

Surely it's easy to tell the difference between scattering something as small a drawing pin and picking them up. Why didn't your 'friend' ask what was happening or stop and help pick them up?
