Ton, next bike you buy you really should open up a sweepstake to guess the time before it appears on the classflids 😉

But yeah, buying bike stuff is good ! selling it and buying more stuff is even gooderer 😆

I do, but it means I've got no money for anything else! I need new work clothes!

Hey don't knock the man for spending cash on bikes and then selling them on at knock down prices after short period of time..... I'm sure at some stage in the future he will buy one that i want *think Paradox Ton* 😉 😀

Hell it would even be the right size which is unusual round these parts 😯

Yep! But there is always something I want and I don’t always have the means to get it and that makes me sad (sometimes right p….d off). e.g. I want your pig, been looking out for something like it for a while now, but I’m skint because the gear box in my stupid car is costing me £700 this week. 🙁

I do too, money's been tight recently but I still managed to spend £ 50 without trying on Wiggle recently (they sent me a £ 5 off voucher so it would have been rude not to).

Oh yes, 99% agree, add digging and you're all the way to 100%.

All good when someone gets what they want and it works. A bit tedious when someone is compulsive about getting the next big thing, telling everyone about it, then selling it on before the parts have needed greasing.

I certainly do, seem to spend most of my lunch hours wandering round Evans of Cycle Surgery in London.

Seem to come out with a little something at least once a month.

Seemed to have spent a bit more the other week though when I reserved a Raleigh Airlite U6 Race with full Ultegra 6600 😆

But then again the hope seat QR I bought last wednesday was a veritable bargain when you look at it that way 🙄

not so much the buying , too many options to choose from means i'm always left wondering if i got the right one. Building up a bike (assuming you have all the right tools and it goes together properly) is the best bit after riding of course.

stonemonkey, i like the speccing and building process too.
getting it just rightm and then riding it and finding out it is not just so is a bit of a bugger.

but then the process stars again........very adictive 8)

Ton,

I am not allowed to "spend any more money on those bloody bikes" apparently but if I had a bit more income maybe i could enjoy experimenting with different parts / bikes. I would quite like to get a 70mm stem , but what rise? maybe a 80mm would be better with some different bars . The possibilities are endless.... Those new Lapierre zesty's look lovely, wonder what they ride like...

Cos its a Turner 5spot ( wanted one ( a burner) since i was 14 and now I finally have one albiet to small for me) I am unemployed at the moment and i bought a hardtail the other month. But yet dont let the neigh sayers get you down. STW seems to be imploding up its own arse a bit with all these people putting up sarcastic what tyre threads and the like. They're just jelous cos you can do what they want to be doing.
