I am trying to have a clear-out and have a load of old bits which are not worth very much, but are still working. Would be a shame to throw them away, so does anyone know of any bike charities which might want them? Something like re-cycle but in York area?

Cheers

The Bike Rescue Project in York would be interested. They are a Community Interest Company. Not entirely sure what that means in full but I think it's along the lines of the directors not taking any profits out of it. However, they do sell parts and bikes rather than give them away to needy causes. That may not be what you had in mind.

got any riser bars that'd fit a kids bike? (25.4 with a narrow riser section)

Yes got a pair of risers 25.4, could be cut down for kids use. Mail in profile. They are standard bars so not sure about a narrow riser section. Probably ought to move this to FS forum...
