I am looking to book a B&B for four of us + bikes for a North Wales weekender at the end of May, OldSkool MTB is fully booked, can anyone recommend somewhere else to stay in the Dolgellau area ?

Snowbikers is based just outside Dolgellau - on the CyB side of town - and has B&B as well as offering guiding, coaching etc. They're very hospitable folk, obviously welcome bikes, and serve excellent cake and breakfasts! Highly recommended:

Stayed here a couple of times:

Right in town, so a short walk to the bistro and pubs.
It has decent secure storage, and they do an epic breakfast.
Oh yeah, it's also off the main road so very quiet at night.

Y meirionnydd is excellent. the two guys that run it are amazing. We've stayed a couple of times and they have been wonderful.

+1 for Torrent Walk.
Had some great times camping there for CyB.
The MachX is not far away also.

I always try to stay at Old Skool too, but they're pretty busy in the summer.
I've stayed at Biker's Retreat - http://www.bikers-retreat.com/page15.html - before. It's a nice place - a bit pricey (£90 a twin room) but it has a bar and secure bike storage.
