B sis used most commonly but I always liked DBX.

They did quite a few different ones - A, B, C (which was passing the signal through to A circuits) and S (which I remember having many years ago!!!

If you are over 30 this is all about cassette recording, under 30 it's all about surround sound. Funny that.

DBX was great for making cassette 4-tracks decent quality! C was quite OTT at times. HX Pro was neat. I wonder if CD gained popularity quickly because of too many people listening to non-Dolby cassettes with NR switched on thus suffering very dull treble?

I used to just flick the switch between the two as a rudimentary graphic equaliser. Had no idea what it did ๐Ÿ™‚
