Had Woburn/brickhill/aspley all to ourselves last night! Have the dogger brigade been clobbered by the recession ?

Real shame I wanted to try my new wilma 5 on them, instead We had to endure 2 hrs of woburns best singletrack and nit a soul in sight !

It's getting chilly out now, they're probably experiencing a different kind of downturn.

Not so in Cathkin Braes, the route I take takes me past at least two dodgy looking wierdos each outing without fail.

2 gay doggers eyeing each other up in our notorious car park this afternoon. The thing was, there were families walking their dogs and things around too. Have they no shame? I think I may snap one day and brick their cars or something. If I had the time I would get a dayglo jacket and sit there with a camera and notepad very visibly taking notes of the registrations of all of the "offenders". How long do you think it would take before I got knifed or they stopped coming?

how on earth can you know that you were witnessing what you think you were witnessing...?

If you think mountain biking is bad for encountering doggers try astronomy - driving out to these remote car parks in the dead of night with an enormous telescope (ok hit me with the innuendo...). I don't think I'm on the dogging community's christmas card list

although I bet night riding is actually worse for doggers as then you might actually encounter some in the undergrowth

seriously if I were a politician into dogging, the first thing I'd do would be to buy a telescope or a mountain bike and some (extra twinky) lycra as it's the perfect cover. Much better than badger spotting etc.

They'd probably finish coming before knifing you.

I got faced with a totally naked bloke holding his john thomas whilst riding through some woodland singletrack during the Summer. It's amazing what a turn of speed tired legs can find in those circumstances.

Apparently this wood is a gay meeting place (which also happens to have some decent singletrack and a couple of really fun descents)

A loca shop keeper, noted 2 men walking around, she said they looked a bit shifty, kept disapearing down the alleyways, to reapear somewhere else, not speaking to each other but making eye contact and using hand signals.

She phoned the police, and got scared as they walked into her shop 10 minutes latter.

It appeared they where undercover cops,Looking at suspicious activity in the area, you never can be to sure

It's still alive and kicking round here.

Riding up a trail today and greeted by a trail beaver being photographed leaning against a tree. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜†

This beaver was out in the open without a hint of being under any kind of cover.

Strangely store detectives look more like store defectives when theyre acting undercover.

Talking loudly, radio in their ears, loud radio interference, shiftily darting about.

I suppose I could be wrong but after you've caught so many of them bumming or sneaking off for a bum you kind of recognise the type. Single male, reverse parked, no dog. The reason why they go there is because the only other reason you would go there would be to walk the dog or take the family for a woodland walk. Which is incidentally how I first became aware of them, or rather that's how my 5yo son first became aware of them as he enquired what that man was doing. Luckily he could only see his head and shoulders as he bounced up and down on his new found buddy at 2pm on a sunday afternoon.

So true. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first few times but after you see one shifty looking guy with a baseball cap and sunnys and then another appearing from bushes ten meters on with no dog you become cynical

"bumming".... i laughed.

a few years back i went for a ride on a sunny evening and had a smoke watching the sunset. i decided to take an alternative route back home. i rode into the woods and nearly collided with a bloke standing in the middle of the trail. squeezed past him and about 30yrds further on there was another bloke. asked him if he was waiting for anyone or had a dog. i was trying to discern whether or not the trail was clear and he gave me a wry smile. started pedalling off again and there was some bloke sitting with his shirt off on a tree stump.

it was at that point i had visions of being bum raped and pedalled like crazy to get out of there. i managed to scratch my arms on the bushes as i exited the woods. then i burst out loud laughing and made a mental note to myslf not to go back there at that time of day.

not been back since.

oh, and in Tuxertal/Tuxer Valley this year i was leading a group of 7 along some superb alpine singletrack. the trail runs behind an old shed. as i came around the corner there was a woman having a piss and her fella (don't know if it was her fella, but for the sake of dignity we'll assume it was) tugging at his manhood.

i didn't really know what to do. i didn't want to get too close, but the path was too narrow to pass. i stopped and the 7 guests came around the corner whilst the bloke was trying to put his todger away and the woman stumbling around trying to pull up her knickers whilst piss was still dribbling out.
