After washing down this afternoon, I found this light but long mark on the inside of the fork leg. It runs parallel with the writing if you can make it out. Would seem like it rubbed something thats static inside the lowers.

So I Prized open the seal and checked foam ring for any contaminates and they are both reasonably clean.
What my best course of action? Would a set of bushes help?
Only had them September last year and they were new at the start of 2010 i believe. Serviced them myself twice just oil change and clean up. No seals or bushes ever changed as everything seemed ok.
Love these badboys and hope they arent on their way out. Rockshox have always been good for me so cant see after 18 months they'd be dead.
Posibly a bit of grit getting stuck in the seals?
Wouldn't worry about them, maybe change the oil a bit mre regulalry incase water gets in or oil gets out quicker than it should?
Bushings dont need replaceing unless there's play between the uppers and lowers.
If they are revelations I have a spare CSU for them (steerer was cut to 200mm ... to short for an XL frame upgrade). Keep in mind if they do wear through ๐
I'd defo change out the seals still, just for (cheapish) peace of mind.
My riding companion just had a set of Fox forks back from Tftuned which had several similar marks, comments on the job sheet that they were worn from running dry (purchased used with a frame), but not to be to worried as only side effect is faster wear of the seals amd bushings etc so to keep an eye on them. Gave them a call and was told just to do a monthly refresh of foam oil, and grease them with shock butter after each ride and wont have an issue.
Yeah they are Rev Teams 150mm. So the Carbon steerer...how much and what condition please, is it 1 1/8th?? Pics would be nice too. I like collecting spares too. Especially shiny ones with carbon.
So seems like a more regular fettling is whats required from now on.
