you're cold. you need to nip to the loo. you have a number 1....and your body gets colder in a directly proportional amount to the length of time you are piddling.

Assuming this doesn't just happen to me (i bloody hope!) why does this happen?

Cheers STW massif

You are wondering why you get colder when you expose more skin to cold air?

Sorry cant help with that one.

you have a load of hot liquid inside you... you get rid of the hot liquid... you now have less heat. QED.

Do you have an outside loo or does your radiator need bleeding?

Isn't it at around body temperature, so it's pretty much neutral in terms of heat loss/gain? I would imagine hot pee could be pretty painful.

neither - just observing that when I pee when I'm cold, the act of peeing makes me colder....and checking I wasn't a freak / in need of medical attention ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Well unless the air in your house is close to body temperature there will still be heat loss when exposing more skin.

Your blood pressure may drop if you sit stand up quickly, plus sprinting up the stairs will likely send blood to your muscles and not the extremities

Plus it's worse if you have a big willy. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Your blood pressure can also drop as a result of quickly emptying a full bladder, which will make you feel cold. Or cause you to pass out.
