[Closed] Does the Shimano Bleed Kit come with oil?

All you need to bleed and maintain your Shimano hydraulic Disc brake system
Kit includes: Shimano hydraulic mineral oil, bleed tube, and oil bottle

From the Shimano website. So yes then.

£40? Ouch.

2x Syringes + tubing off ebay for less than a fiver and a litre of mineral oil for about a tenner seems much more credit crunch friendly.

It is fairly costly but it's totally mess free and you will get a perfect bleed every time with this kit.

Make sure you put genuine Shimano oil in there.

Sod genuine Shimano oil. I've used LHM mineral oil in all my shimano brakes for years. In fact I have a set of 6 year old XT 4 pots which have not been touched in the six years apart from pad changes, never had to bleed them once, and they are still eye poppingly good.

I use weldtite mineral brake oil in my shimanos works out about a third of the price of shimano oil
