[Closed] Does my rear cassete need replacing

Yeah that’s a good question, but that’s the worst resolution picture I’ve seen on here ever!

Its a Shimano 10 speed cassete of a Bossnut Calibre 2016

I believe the photo should be working now, took it when my rear hanger snapped.

I'd still use it, looks OK to me.

Any gears slipping under load? If not then carry on using it until you either change the chain or you get slipping.

Cassettes have all sorts of odd tooth profiles to help shifting up & down the block. As said up there, if it's still shifting OK and not jumping under load then crack on.

It's hard to tell, there looks to be a bit of wear but nothing ridiculous. Get a new chain, see if it skips, if it does order a new cassette. It might have bedded in and stopped skipping by then, in which case you can save it for next time the chain wears out at which point you will need it.
Or if your chain isn't worn and needing replaced, then no it'll be fine. You can't wear chainrings and sprockets (much) without a worn out chain.

If your chain isn't slipping then keep riding it.

I'd be more concerned about the broken mech hanger.......

Hi Chain and derailer have recently been replaced due to a chain snap, and the cog on the rear mech disintergrating. I just wanted to make sure that that damage wasnt caused by the condition of the casseste.

If I'm seeing that picture properly the smallest sprocket on view , nearer to the camera than the chain looks incredibly worn , not a chance that it would run with a new chain .

the smallest sprocket in view looks like it's missing some teeth, and the chain needs a clean, but otherwise it looks okay.

I think thats just the light bouncing off the cassette rather than missing teeth. If it is missing teeth, then blimey charley...
