Seriously though, stuff from the AppStore downloads in a couple of minutes max, I've been sat here for 15 minutes and its still only starting 🙄

most of the apps I've downloaded to my phone are done in about 20 seconds......

No, usually same kind of speed. Are you on wifi, or 3g?
