Following the demise of my Revelations I bolted on some steel rigids and a 2.25 Ardent for the weekend and actually had a great time, and am kinda wondering whether to just get a 2.4 front tyre and some carbon forks rather than more suspension.
Does anyone ride like this all the time? The main thing that worries me is keeping up with others as I did get dropped a bit on a few bumpier sections, the worst being the rootier bits of Glentress red.
Rigid is where its at,
Just get the tyre, the fork'll make no difference relatively speaking.
I'm always rigid when I ride.
haha, beat me to it, duke.
Been riding rigid since March and I'm buying some proper forks in January. It's been fun but my body needs a rest.

I did kinda wonder that, The on one steel one I have seems pretty good on the twangy front and a big soft tyre...
i ride rigid singlespeed all the time, love it.
Yes obviously I meant whilst riding bicycles, can't remember if I have ever been personally rigid whilst on a bike
I started riding full stiff round Thetford, think in the long run it made me a better rider as it forces you to ride smooth and pick good lines.
Big piece of rubber up-front always helps.
Most of the people I see riding never bend their arms or legs.....oh bikes, yes always.
Rigid ss on the mountain bike. My road bike however has got 5" front and rear.
Yeh, I did, from being 7 to being 38. Then suspension got invented.
another vote for rigid.
much more direct and fun riding and as said above you learn to read the trail better and pick smoother lines.
presently in the process of changing to a 69er to make the front less harsh and roll better.
