flicking through the plethora of channels on my folks freeview i keep coming across BBC ALBA. does anyone actually tune in to this?

half the time they've english subtitles.

Is that the Welsh channel that not even the Welsh watch? Or is that the s4c sky channel?

It has Edinburgh and Glasgow games in teh magners league

beyond that I doubt it has much audience but it will have some

no, it is scots gaelic.

I'm sure there are folk on the western isles and west coast who do. Whether it is vfm is a completely different kettle of bananas. As someone who works in the civil service in Scotland, I often feel we would reach out to more folk if we swapped our Gaelic translations for polish.

I did see something recently that claimed more people speak Polish than gaelic in Scotland
