Juts packing up the evoc bike bags after this years summer holiday and I found that one of the supporting tubes on the side has been shattered! Wheel behind it was okay so I guess it's done its job but a bit disappointing after its first outing.
Anyway, these are pvc plastic tubes, just over 21mm in diameter, 540mm long with a wall thickness of around 1.6mm.
Just wondering what I might replace them with that would be a bit tougher without weighing too much or costing too much. Any ideas?
20mm PVC conduit from an electrical factors. That's pretty much what's supplied with the bag. Get one length and you'll have enough spare if any others break.
Edit: Sorry, wasn't very helpful. Get a decent brand (marshall tufflex) and it'll be tougher. Avoid B&Q. Their stuff's brittle.
Cheers, that sounds about right. Just wondered if it might be worth getting some 7/8" aluminium tubing in there for added strength.
