The switch on my DX light only works one-in-many times. I'm no electronics expert but as it's a couple of years old I have nothing to loose...

Can anyone guide me on how to dismantle the light and either remove the switch from the circuit (full-power all the time would be fine) or diagnose and fix the problem? Thanks.

No help to you, but the switch failed on my first too. You had to plug in the battery and hope the light came on. If it didn't, unplug and repeat. This want on until I actually lost the light (left it on a wall or something when packing the car) so was forced to buy a new one.

Thanks - not necessarily 'no help'. The green light always comes on so I hadn't thought of that oh-so-simple lateral thinking. I'll bear that in mind as one solution.
