Brand new Hope Pro II 20mm hub with Maxle Lite Revelations. There's a touch of play between the two (side to side knocking) even when the Maxle is screwed fully in and tightened so hard my arm wants to snap off my body...
Are the brand new bearings on the fritz or could it be a dodgy Maxle Lite? Unfortunately I have no other 20mm hub to try the Maxle with. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Some one asked about this a while back, evebtually he phoned Hope who talked him through how to get rid of this play.

There are other posts of this nature on mtbr. Seems sometimes there is some play. Being in the UK you should just talk to Hope.
Have you tightened the wedges properly? Screw the maxle in, tighten the screw thread on the other end from the QR then flip the qr
Yes I have had exactly this, it was the bearings.
Cheers guys. Yeah the wedges are tightened right up so I guess I'll give Hope a ring about the bearings.
