I had red ano Chromag bars and stem. Now got Renthal bar and red ano Chromag stem. Arguably an error.
I might get a Nitto Bullmoose to avoid this sort of awkwardness.

Used to be sometimes with the right Easton bar & stem, then with proper wider bars I never changed the stems and the bars were whatever I was trying/liking.
Last 2 bikes
1 built from parts list matched Thomson Bar & Stem because I coule
Other factory spec so RF bar & stem combo though will change the bars and maybe the stem soon so whatever works at the right price
Mine are from ebay and I bought whatever came up cheap and within riding
distance.
Yes in the road bike, FSA SL-K.
Thomson & USE on the singlespeed, Zipp & Fizik on the other road bike.
used to but not on purpose - currently don't have a bar
currently don't have a bar
Unicycle? or just a bad plan....
Nope, renthal fatbar lite (gold, matches fork stanchions) with black on one cnc stem.
Ragley wiser bar (black with white graphics - sort of ties in with white forks) on hope XC stem.
Thomson seat post on both.
Hadn't even crossed my mind to match them.
Purely for some reasonably fancy bits, I bought a matching KCNC bar, stem & seatpost to go on my Stumpjumper. The seastpost is actually a really good design as you can adjust angle of saddle & fore/aft position completely independently, although the anodising hasn't lasted well (take seat out to get bike in car though).
My Inbred has a right mish mash of parts, but has the Specialized bar & stem that came off the Stumpjumper; for OEM parts they are impressively light.
The seatpost is a cheap as chips Identiti (I think) one that weighs a ton.
Road bike - matching bar and stem but couldn't tell you what they are, they just came with the bike; probably same brand as the bike. Seatpost, swapped it for a PRO Koryak.
havoc 35 carbon
just because
No really on any of my bikes. It's all a bit melting pot of RF, Answer, Pro, and no-name whatever. One bike does have an RF stem and bar, but that's cos I like the bar and the stem was cheap and, more importantly, the right size (and had been on another bike before, so no plan to match). Even with unlimited funds my answer would be the same as what scotroutes said up there^
My Stumpjumper does but not because I wanted a matching set so it looked better but because I wanted a Renthal Carbon DH bar and a Renthal Apex stem to put me into a different position. The seatpost is a Reverb so nothing will match it.
The road bike is all standard so has the Bianchi bars stem and post.
Neither of my other bikes match. The Solaris has a Race Face stem and Burgtec bars, the BFe has a Syntace Stem and Chromag bars.
Yes they match on all five MTBs. imo there's something inherently wrong with mismatched bars and stems
Yes on my two main MTB's. Also have to have the same bar on both so they feel the same...
Out of interest - which Race face stem do you think has a habit of cracking?
BigDummy - MemberUnicycle? or just a bad plan....
bad crash, broke bar and can't ride for 3 months so not bought a new one
Oh - sorry! Heal swiftly ๐
Answer pro tapers on the Soul with Superstar Zephir, and On One Knuckleball and On One CNC stem on the Ibis, Planet X Superlight stem and 3t ergonova pro alloy on the road bike. Price and function over pure aesthetics for me.
Nope. I've got Thomson and Raceface stems on two bikes each, Kore on another, and Easton on the other. Mix and match of mostly Nuke and RF bars.
Surely only factory bikes will be all matched build kit?
I don't even know what my stems are... but I'm pretty certain they're not the same as my bars.
Mine didn't match until last week.
Thomson bar and stem now adorning my front end.
BigDummy - MemberOh - sorry! Heal swiftly
they won't match though when I do buy one. got easton haven stem and getting a spank oozy vibrocore bar
road: Deda bar, stem and seatpost
mtb: easton haven bar and stem, dropper post. Mtb also has Thomson topcap and Thomson seatpost clamp (because sadly easton don't make em), WTB saddle and grips....
I am very OCD and all about aligned logos, matching manufacturer/coloured kit etc ๐ณ
Bars, stem and post have matched on every bike I've ever had up to my current Cannondale which has an OPI headset/stem so it broke the rule.
Bonty + Hope on the bike that matters
Ritchey + Ritchey on the other one I use quite a bit
3T + something (might be 3T) on the road bike
something very narrow (with bar ends) + something very long (130mm?) on the MTB I never use at all
Easton havoc stem and haven bars on the bouncer,
superstar bars and stem on the HT
Not bar & stem, but all my bikes have matching stem & seat post.
I cannot say what make all my bars are [ they are all carbin thouggh not that this snipet helps] but my stems are made by folk who dont make bars [ thomson and hope] so its certainly a no from me
Not even slightly, bars are easton coz I like the shape (various models) stems are varied in make and colour.
Did used to have RF deus bar, stem and post combo, came with the bike, was kinda cool but DGAS about that stuff normally, bar/stem no longer in use too narrow/long.
too posh for transX stuff nowadays eh?my bars are [ they are all carbin.... my stems are ... [ thomson and hope]
<edit> just remembered road and CX have own branded that came with the bike so they match.
Yep. Thomson bar, stem and seatpost. Why wouldn't you? I love Thomsom, me.
Renthal Gold bars and Duo stem because they are ace and a match made in heaven. But I now want a bit more reach so might have to go with a longer stem. Boo.
None of mine match:
Bontrager/Kona
Exotic/PX
Exotic/FSA
Function (and price) over fashion innit...
Spank 777bars and bearclaw stem, black and blue, look the tits ๐
