Today, Valverde's rear mech stuck. The Mavic neutral service mechanic hung out the rear door over the bike's spinning wheel and released the mech, probably at about 35mph. That takes nerves and a fair bit of trust.

Yeah I was wincing during that expecting fingers to be lost (was Sanchez btw). Personally I'd have told him to find his team car :p

Oops, brain like sieve.
I wondered is someone was holding the mechanic's ankles. I'd think twice about it in the workstand.

I would have made the mechanic who did such a crap job of setting it up in the first place hang out of the car and sort it.
