Yes. A very old SS Canonndale SS which I actually have tried to sell occasionally and a Kona Minute cargo bike which I sold, got the money for, and somehow still have. Work that one out.

No. I don't have the luxury of space. It's also dead money sat there which could be paying for new toys.

I have a station bike.

I don't ride to the station.

I have a 1997 kawasaki ZX6R - it does 20 miles each year to the MOT shop.
I also have a 2012 Triumph Bonnevile SE - it does 100 miles a year.

They are taking up so much room in my garage and I don't have time/inclination to ride them anymore. I've had a few half-assed attempts at selling them but residuals are crazy low...
I guess I'm keeping them reluctanctly.

I have a nice steel hardtail (Decade Virtue w/Fox F120's)that is kept as a spare bike, but my main man is so sorted it never gets used.

I did consider selling it and my commuter to buy a Kona Rove in the right size as my commuter is too damn small but Mrs W wont let me sell them.

As a result I commute on a 49cm Kona PhD, when I should be on a nice Rove st in 56cm.

A 13yr old Turner 5 Spot I bought new, my first 'big bucks' bike, after ten years of fun all over everywhere I retired it and I'll never sell it on..

Alloy-framed road bike. Has bits of Dura-Ace (9-speed) on it too. Get a run out maybe twice a year. 😳

I have an Onza Birdofsomedescription, 20 inch trials bike. I never ride it, but I keep it because apparently I need to have a BMX or trials bike or similiar stupid thing, and as soon as I sell one, I suddenly NEED to buy another.

Also my Hemlock frame, too attached to that.

And my Suzuki SV650S, which hasn't been on the road for about 5 years now and is now the base for my worktop 😳 Poor thing, from prizewinner to table-leg.

i have a 'town bike' which is an ongoing project. i just can't justify the cash at the moment, or ever really :roll

it probably couldn't be sold - but i could do with the space - if i finished it i'd probably use it...

I have two bikes that may become shoppers. Currently I walk into town as I see riding there as dangerous. I may yet move, in which case I may have an 853-framed shopper.

A Dialled Bikes Kobe Ti that gets built up occasionally then robbed for parts.
A Ducati 749R used for garage porn thats not moved for a couple of years
1982 Bonneville that I took out on Satruday and now needs a wee bit of work to it.

I have a Genesis Core 40 and a Maverick Ml7. Both only come out occasionally but are too good a ride to get rid.

1990 Fisher. Now a singlespeed. It's a little bit on the small side but means a lot!

Northwind reminds me I've also got an Onza Tbirdthingy hung up in the garage that I dgaf about but cba to sell or even look at, it's hung up behind an old Muddyfox Courier that's in the same boat, and the fil's old GT i inherited but can't sell as the Mrs won't let me..

A Genesis Day One Cross, the original (I think) orange one. I bought it by accident on the day my youngest son was born and I was sent from the hospital to buy nappies and baby clothes. Commuted on it for a couple of years until I moved offices and it was too far. Glad I kept it though, as my boys are finally starting to get interested in bikes, but are still at cycle path/gravel track level, so it's getting some flat pedals and coming out of retirement soon.

I keep a few frames, but only one built up bike I don't use, it's a Pipedream triple butted Ti SS & rigid, last time. I tried to sell it I was offered £1000 if I changed the wheels for some others I had knocking about, what a muppet I was

Cannondale Caffeine SL4 - bought s/h & never ridden in 3 yrs, still haven't got around to fixing the forks despite have spent a load on tools & new damper, now unlikely to need the damn thing anyway

I've got a singular Pegasus ti frame in my loft that nobody wants, will get around to selling it someday....oh and a Mk1 dialled bikes Prince Albert in a mate's loft in the same situation

Three old team bikes where teams have been nice (?) enough to gift them to me at the end of the season. Usually too battered to sell on........

I think one of them is cracked, so technically it's two bikes and an expensive (made to measure) display stand for a pile of battered parts.

And a pile of old bikes that i really can't be bothered to sell as tyre kicking seems to have become a global sport.

Nope, too tight for space so got a mtb and a road bike (both ridden regularly) and a 'one in, one out' policy.

I do wish I'd kept my old silver P7 though...

^ Ha! That's true. Mrs W is up the duff again so the 5 Spot is currently collecting cob webs. Though I do have a bag of goodies to go on that so it will be dug out for an XT 1 x 10 conversion soon.

A long travel merida lrs that has had the proprietary shock donated to another frame, I have a spare shock I could fit, and a set of RC41F I need rebonded, then I’d need to get wheels and drivechain and finishing kit to have a bike pretty much exactly the same as the one I use the most already (a short travel lrs).

I thought I had ovalised the headtube and ruined it, turns out I’d de-bonded the carbon fork leg and magnesium lower on the fork. Maybe when I get space I’ll rebuild it and set it up as a more enduro orientated monster with cheap gear so if it is smashed by my lack of skill I won’t get too upset.

Actually thinking about, since the purchase of a road bike I've not used the "winter" alfine hardtail.

I have a 1994 Specialised Hardock that's very nearly rideable - hopefully I'll finish it since I've had it from new and it has good memories. Thing is, if I have the time to fettle it, I'll then choose to ride abother bike instead.

I have a 98 Specialized Ground Control FSR hanging up on my garage wall. It needs me to put the rear shock on, put the chainset back on, and it would be good to go.

Got a bloody garage full, where to start...

Various sizes of kids bike up to and including 20" wheel Specialized kids mountain bike thing - hardrock, hotrock, hardhot, I can;t remember what it's called. Unused kids bikes total probably at least three, possibly more. Youngest about to grow out of her 24" wheel Kona so that will be added to that pile soon.

A 1986ish Falcon Sierra - my first "ATB" as it was called then. Probably every part on it is rusted solid and or broken and bent, should really get rid (it weighs a tonne so might be worth something as scrap).

A Raleigh Pursuit road bike of indeterminate age that last moved when I had a briefly rekindled enthusiasm for road (July 2014, Grand Depart) then put away again until I get round to putting some brakes that work on it, and maybe change the gearing since it was originally for use in London (flat) and now lives in West Yorkshire (not flat). I'd maybe use it if it stopped and went up hills.

A broken Mongoose frame - might turn it into a clock one day, probably won't.

An original 1970s Raleigh Chopper - in a bit of a sad state, but one day, one day I'll breathe new life into it (not true, one day I may give money to the LBS to breathe new life into it).

I have a new Surly Instigator 2.0 which wants putting to good use as 4 bikes for me is hard to justify.
It felt really fun and planted in corners on the 1x 7mile blue run I did.

Yep, a carbon road bike, hasn't been used in years, i have no intention of riding it ever again, i keep promising Susie i will be putting on eBay next, it's still in the garage and in the way, i hate myself. 😡

Strange this should come up now as I have just taken 2 bikes to a bike recycle charity. One was an old cheap mtb belonging to my daughter in law but the other was a 70s steel tourer that was rather dilapidated. I was always going to do it up and use it but it had hung in the garage so long I knew it wasn't going to happen.
I am now amazed there is space in the garage, handy because I have just bought another bike!

A 1996 GT Timberline that's probably only done a few hundred miles from new , still on original tyres and drivetrain. Was my partners bike but never really got used and then she bought another bike.

Got a Cannondale Prophet hanging up in the cellar that I can't bear to get rid of.

Oh and a Triban 3 that I've not used in months. Probably should sell it and get a CX bike instead.

ive got the jones (which does get used!!) and a 1988 cannonade sm1000 at my folks house.

never ridden the 'dale in over 20 years but still have the plan to do it up and get some use out it. could not possible get rid of it as its was my first proper bike, i bet it feels so weird to ride now. i predict its probably a bit shite now.

Specialised Tricross Singlecross 56cm, needs a few bits doing to be road worthy, so will sell as is for someone to fix up, at a very good price.

Felt F5C 54cm, complete bike, kept hoping my longstanding lower back injury would let me ride it again. But I think the time has come to be realistic.

Nope, if I'm not riding it I see it as a waste of space and a waste of bike, someone else could be out having fun on it. And it I can't sell it for much then I figure I'm just helping out someone else who can't afford an expensive bike. I gave away a really good BMX last month because I never ride it anymore. Cost me a lot of money a few years ago, but now someone else is riding it.
too short to stockpile crap that never gets used - give it to someone who'll actually enjoy it.
