im getting a bike from halfords on a grand c2w voucher and basically want to know how much bargaining power i have? In my eyes £1000 i not the sort of sale they get every day and im after a few extra's chucked in but woundered how likely they are to laugh at me!? do they get commision on sales?
C2W scheme take 10% from the purchase price, so usually very little bargaining power...
Some e.g. Ribble, even add some of the charges on to the bike price. Ribble's £50 fee removed them from my short list.
We pay a fee to handle the vouchers.
Halfords take 15%
c2w take 10%
Therefore we cannot offer discounts on goods or 'throw ins'. Its a shame.
Some shops i believe charge admin - we dont though - its kind of against the spirit of a tax free incentive...
