Poss a stupid question but I have just bought some Slx brakes but they didn't come with rotors. I have a box full of 6 bolt rotors so can I fit any of them or will I have to buy some Shimano rotors?
Can't experiment at the moment as the frame hasn't arrived...

No. You can generally mix and match rotors of the same diameter.
Magura is an exception as their rotors are thicker than usual.
No, cos otherwise Superstar and the like wouldn't be able to sell aftermarket rotors.
Avid ones were always fine with Shimano brakes too (amongst others, no doubt).

but worth checking - most start at 1.8 and should be replaced at 1.5. Magura start at 2 and should be replaced at 1.8
I seem to remember my Hopes were <1.2 when I replaced them....

Also worth nothing (possibly not in your case) some rotors aren't suitable for sintered pads.
