Hi,

Girlfriend looking for a do-it-all bike - she has a Cube AMS Comp at the moment, but is looking at going for something a bit even more bling. The BIG catch is.... it needs to be for All Mountain, Trails, Enduros and races!

I've been trying to edge her toward getting a matching E120.... but she's having none of it

I've suggested:

Lapierre Zesty
Trek Fuel EX8 WMD
Giant Anthem X
Cube Stereo
Scott Spark Contessa

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

Ricks

Cannondale RZ140 Feminine, decent spec for the price but maybe a bit burlier than you are looking for.
Lapierre will be nice and the Cube's always have a great build.

Anthem X with 100mm for more XC stuff or swap some 120mm for a whole different bike. I am getting boring now suggesting it to everyone but I LOVE mine.

Any bike is going to be shit at one of those at least.

She the demanding type?

I have a Scott Genius Contessa 15 and I love it.

So comfy, 150mm travel with twinloc so you can lock out the front and rear shocks with 1 lever.

Deffo the best bike I've ridden!!

Nope, she just doesn't get the n+1 rule for bikes. She wants just one mtb, and one road bike.

Some people.... 😉

Add a Cube Sting to the mix.

mrscrackfox has got an EX8 WSD and loves it, but it is a bit lardy for enduros. She has done Dusk 'til Dawn on it in the past and was knackered but she does feel it gives her confidence.

But she has also got a Spark 30, not the Contessa, the geometry is the same and all they seem to change is the paint job and the saddle to make it Contessa. If MrsRickon is as tall as mrscrackfox (5'6" ish) then Westbrook Cycles have Spark 30s for £1749 in medium (and Large). The Spark isn't as 'arm round the shoulder' comforting like the EX8 but its no slouch on the downhills and is very light in comparison.

Genius is a good shout also if you can get over the shock been in the firing line of mud.
