I have these on my Kinesis Decade Virsa frame and find that the vertical dropouts with XT derailleur attached basically don't function too well as the derailleur gets in the way when trying to remove the rear wheel. I have to nearly completely unscrew the QR skewer in order to clear the derailleur mounting bolt. Are they just like this or am I doing something wrong?
Can't say I've noticed any problems with mine!

The dropout doesn't give enough clearance from the derailleur mount for the end of the QR skewer to get past. Contrast with a "normal" dropout:

...where the derailleur mount is offset slightly and there's a slight cutaway to allow the wheel out more easily.
Are your swopout dropouts more like this?
does look a bit tight. Maybe a shadow mech would give better clearance?
I am using a shadow. That mech is not mine but the overlap is about the same i.e. I can't get my wheel out 🙁
I built one in the shop I worked in a few years ago and found this was a problem, haven't heard if they have changed the design though
smaller nut on the qr. I've had to swap a few round on bikes to make it work
Hmm, fair enough. Any idea what QR skewer has a particularly small nut? I shall buy one...
