[#7966935]

Bonked yesterday on the ride, or more a case of turned up with no energy (didn't really eat enough). Went home and ate a proper meal, and eaten what i'd normally eat today. But i feel really light headed.

I have pretty low blood pressure; and normally feel dizzy when I stand up. This feels a bit like this: some times like my head/ eyes/ ears etc are pulsing.

Is this normal? will i die? will a pie fix me, and if so savory or sweet?

Dip it in a beaker first. Might help.

I have a weird habit of getting the giggles after bonking.

Oh no - wait - you mean bonking...

If you feel a bonk coming on it usually turns out best if you start munching.

As above, low blood pressure = drink some water. If still low, see a doctor.

As above dehydrated, the last time I bonked I tagged onto the back of a group in the Peaks who wanted to know how to get to Potato Alley, I'd just crossed the A57 and pushed up Hag Farm,

I'd done enough already but thought nah I'll be alreet.
That went wrong, felt like I needed to curl up behind a dry stone wall and sleep, I got back to my Van somehow and curled up there and slept for about 4 hours. Woke up even worse.

Took me nigh on 2 weeks to get over that, went to doctors after a few days, he assured me I'd suffered heat exhaustion and at some point I'd probably passed out. Great.

All I wanted to eat for the first few days were big bags of Salt and vinegar crisps and big bottles of Orange Lucozade.

Drink plenty of fluids and take advantage of being able to put extra salt on everything. If your anything like me you will carry enough fodder for a School trip on future outings.
