I've just had a read of the news article for pouches of pure Maple Syrup, why not just put some in one of these -

It would work out to fraction of the cost in the long run.

Or just eat cake.

I just take a jar of jam on my rides.

Stop, smash hand into jam, smear over lips and face..yummy!

Both me and the wasps love it...

bag of sugar's all you need. It's a bit heavy at first but that's just a reminder to keep eating it.

So how do you clean and resterilize them?

I only use Gels for racing & emergencies so not a big consumer.

This -

In these -

Although the above can be used with conventional gels and save you dealing with lots of wrappers by filling them up first

Bulk maltodextrin / glucose powder from a bodybuilder store does the job without any nasty flavours / colours / sweeteners.

I thought about this today. Make up some yourself and put in an old washed out toothpaste tube.
