Just taken my Rebas apart to service them.
Despite 2 years use they look pretty good and oil was cleaner than I thought it would be.
The foam wiper seals though look to have twisted slightly, but the stanchion seals themselves look pretty good.
When should you replace the stanchion seals and also the seals on the air spring?

My Rebas are not quite a year old & I was also suprised how clean everything was when i serviced them the other day. The grey wiper seals in the lowers are a bu66er to re-fit if you don't have a proper press so bear that in mind.
I'd have said that if there isn't any oil leaking past them, then don't replace them.

Foam rings might need replacing sooner, but not sure if you can get them without the seals - so expensive for a couple of bits of foam!

As for the air spring seals - again it's hard to say. If they aren't maintaining pressure or look deformed/worn then I'd replace them, otherwise just clean them up, re-lube & keep going.

I will take your advice and leave them.No leaks, look in good condition, and seal kit is £30 for a few bits of rubber and foam......
This being my first attempt at servicing forks,I was surprised just how easy it was to dismantle them,so if they do later turn out to need new seals I`m not too bothered.

I have liberally applied 15wt oil to the foam rings and straightened them out.I think they may have temporarily distorted slightly by being a bit dry in one area, but now appear fine.
