[#3871407]

The bleed manual for my bleed kit mentions never letting get DOT fluid anywhere near the ground/water courses/drains/etc, then vaguely mentions consulting local disposal rules or something

In the UK, how/where are you supposed to dispose of DOT fluid?

Your local council will usually have some sort of facility, or failing that be able to advise you.

I'm tempted to squirt my old stuff on the car that keeps blocking our drive. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

pop it in a bottle in the shed, take it to the tip next time you go.

Revitalise faded plastic garden furniture with it. I spilt some on my old green chairs and it's great.

I tend to chuck it into my used engine oil container from the car and take it to the tip as and when. Most amenity sites have a massive oil bin

don't put anything into used engine oil. Bottle it separately and ask your council.

Its bottled up, just seem to have building it up for a while, though when its 3/4 of a 20ml or so syringe at a time, Im not exactly overrun with old DOT fluid

For the amount that comes out of an MTB brake, bung it in the wheelie bin. The landfill will soak it up no danger.

Your local motorbike or car workshop will have a waste dot fluid container they recycle some of the elements I think. If you really worried about it ask them if you can chuck some it is what I have done in the past with the small amounts generated in a bike workshop.
