eg. Will Hope floating rotors work ok with XT brakes/calipers.
Same diameter obviously...

Yes, as long as the track width is about the same (depth of rotor where the pads make contact)

They dont work with formula oros. I tried and the rivets foul the caliper. So not a stupid question!
Dunno about XT though.

I've heard/seen that they don't fit without some calliper mounting bracket mods
