looking to buy a Semi Creme for a winter SS but never had any experience on one. What are they like? Is it worth spending a bit more on another make etc.?
pics if you can
cheers
I'm riding one at the moment while my bike awaits new forks.
I've actually been singing it's praises. This one is my sons. It's an odd mix of hand me downs, full XT one good wheel one cheapo USE bars etc.
It does have a disc mount but no guide for hydraulics, obviously a throw back to it's V brake only origins.
I'm seriously enjoying this little bike.
Last weeks solo night ride.....

Bought this for commuting duties about a fortnight ago, better than a road bike so that with the right tyres I can come home the fun way.
Did Cannock FTD on it fine too. Slower than my Saracen Killi, but that may be down to rigid forks and rim-brakes.
Sizing is a bit on the small side, maybe go one larger than usual?
Lighter than I thought it would be, only 1/2 pound more than the Saracen. This is the Full-Creme, 1/2 pound lighter than the semi for only £20 extra but still got the frame for £85+p&P, so £95ish brand new. Bargain.

My wife has a 14" Full Creme. It's absolutely ace and rides like a gem.
Shameless plug, I have a F-Creme (17" I think) sitting in the shed doing nothing, £55 posted?
cheers for the offer but i'm gonna need a 18" at least and probably a 20"
No probs, I've also ridden a Handsomedog frame as a commuter for a while, also used it for some xc blasts, worth checking out as they're also pretty cheap:

I've got a Full Creme (from Triple butted cycling (who have been excelent)).
Frame looks really tidy, weighs nothing (1600-1700g 20" frame).
Haven't got it in a ridable state yet, but it is starting to look awesome.
Can't wait to get it operational!
