Tried googling but I'm a duffer with electrickery

I'd like to be able to use my dirtworker off the mains (ie in the back garden), so I guess I need some sort of mains plug to transformer to cigar lighter socket arrangement. Can you get these off the internet as a made up piece? Any links from those who know what they're doing / have better google-fu skills?

I use mine plugged into an inverter I think its called, its from Halfords. Made to allow you to plug a camping cool box in in the house to get it cold before plugging in in the car cost about 20 quid iirc

Just a word of warning not all of them will work with portable power washers. I brought one from Maplins for my Mobi and was told it might not work and it didn't so got the Mobi one from Chainreaction.

I bought one from a caravan shop, worked fine off the mains and had a really long lead, think it was £12.

As long as you get one which is adequately rated for the Dirtworker current draw then any old mains->12V ciggy socket adapter should work.

There are loads on Ebay but beware the current rating!

http://www.dirtworker.co.nz/Specification.aspx

12volt vehicle cigarette lighter or power point only
Current draw 5 - 7 Amps

Get a transformer rated at 7 amps to be sure

Try it. The cig lighter won't fit in a mains socket so use a couple of nails.
