Looking for some suggestions for a dirt cheap, air fork for a project build I might be thinking about.

Nothing special (going on a Carrera frame for a cheap run around) as only needs to replace the fork that is utterly ****ed. just think air would be better than the coil currently on it.

Any thing to think about?

Sometimes you find cheap Suntour Epixons / Epicons on eBay and the like. It’s probably about the level of a Rockshox Recon - and lighter with it as it has alloy stanchions. When I was looking for a cheapie fork a few years ago I nearly bought one - think they were £150 ish at the time

Like I say, its not a definite yet. Just thinking it might give me something to do over the lockdown period. May not bother with this frame and get a half decent one in a few months instead, just flinging ideas around at the moment.

Depends what your definition of "dirt cheap" is.

CRC have the basic versions of Manitou Minute Comps (£150) and Suntour Aion Boost spacing (£165)

Thats a good point chester!

Might go down the 'really cheap' coil route instead anyway, its only for a hack bike after all...
