Can I fit a fancy direct mount clutch rear mech to my antiquated frame and its untrendy mech hanger? Is faff or extra bits and more expense required or is it simple Simon stuff?

Most mechs come as standard for normal mech hangers and then you remove the b link to fit it to direct mount hangers. If the mech you are buying is direct mount only then you will need to buy the b link and the bolt or put a wanted ad on here and find someone who has gone direct mount and they can sell you the bits
