Hi All,
I've just fitted an slx c'set to my 2010 stumpy fsr frame, it has an slx direct mount fr mech.

It looks to me that the gap between chainrings and mech is too big, this is normally supposed to be 2-3 mm, in this case it is about 6-7mm.

Is this normal, will it work or shall I just go and loot myself a replacement ??

many thanks

Mark

Is it direct mount or E-type minus it's bracket? Not sure about direct mount, but E-type have a slotted mount with a reversible spacer that allows you to raise and lower it.

I had the same thing with my stumpy, although not from me replacing the mech, that was the way it was from teh factory wtih apparently no means to adjust.

Never did get particularly good shifting. sorry, but HTH.

Thanks folks, the mech came with the frame, there is only a small amount of adjustment possible and I don't use a "big" chanring, maybe I'll see how it goes....
