Anyone know where to source direct mount chainring bolts that are m8 for a SLX crank, with a torques head, that aren't made of cheese please?

Direct mount rings don't use bolts*. That's the whole point. If you are mashing the normal ones then either your tool is worn, the threads need cleaning or hulk needs putting back in the box 😀.

* Unless you have a direct mount spider and normal rings.

Oops, I mean the crank bolts that go into the crank rather than having a 'nut' on the other side.

They are just normal chain ring bolts.

I found those stripped out of my SLX cranks, very disappointing.

I don't specifically mean the bolts Jimmy linked.

Just that 3 out of 4 of the holes stripped out on the crank, using the stock bolts.
