Any alternatives a Problem Solver? I know it's a niche bit of kit but they're twice the price of the actual mech!

Or - what front mech with minimal gubbins behind the seat-tube?

Are you trying to run a road front mech with a top-pull cable setup ?

If it's a 34.9 seat tube and a 73mm shell then this might do,
Otherwise a top band duel pull mech with half the arm sawn off to make it top pull only gives a lot of clearance..

Road type curvy one or flat faced mtb one? I believe planet x have both.

Road front mechs tend to be quite low profile.

Thanks daffy, but it looks like Shimano ones are for road mechs.
Khani/onzadog - good spot. I winder if I could use a shim off a mech...

Sort of hijack - but does anyone doe this for an 83mm BB? They only seem to be for 68/73 and then 100mm.
