So, all other components being equal, what is the difference in ride like between the 2 frames?
I currently ride a 19" PA with 140mm Pikes and 1x9 gearing, and have just picked up a 18" Alpine frame on Ebay for not much. It'll be a straight component swap, and I know the Alpine will be 0.5" shorter on the TT and the HA is 68.5 as opposed to 70.
Does it feel much different? I love how the PA handles, especially on the techy/rooty stuff we have down here in Devon, so I hoping for more (but better!) of the same 😀

The thing is you say that, but I tried a few combos (of PA, alpine, Dialled, etc.) in the search bar and all I got was frames for sale 😆
So I was hoping someone could give of their experience. Though I did suspect that someone would sarcastically point me to the search bar, and I would have to explain that I'd tried......etc, etc. 😉

Ahem, it may be! I forgot that you went from a PA to an Alpine too. I might even turn it into a SS to complete the stalker vibe 😉
