not too sure how culpable they are at the end of the day- I did some time at RBS and was made redindant a few years back, but I think a lot of these decisions weren't made because Goodwin et al had some god like belief in their abilities, but were made largely because of shareholder and customer demands- everybody was greedy, and wanted as much as the markets could bear. Basically we egged them on, and cheered every new highly geared acquisition and loan.

Bonuses are worth f'all now anyway- they'll largely have been in stock.
