I've been putting this together on the side to compliment the Trance. I figure if I can learn to ride a rigid well, my overall skill will improve. I had a mk2 with Revs which was great, got the Trance and missed the PA a bit...but not enough to shed the bouncer!

The 2.4 Ardent on the front is great, the CG 4x on the back is definitely not a mud happy rear tyre! The feedback between the bike and I is pretty sharp. Very responsive steering and power transfer, more whippy on root slippage and quite drifty in the slop (rear tyre methinks). It's hard to distinguish the real from the perceived but the big front wheel feels quite confident and grippy. I may well get an Ardent for teh back end.

What do you think; freight train or train wreck?

Is the front derailleur a chain guide? if not looks a bit high in relation to the ring(s).

Rest of it looks reeet, change that back tyre though.

No you're right, it's a high derailleur. The groupset was a triple so I set it up as if it still had the 3rd ring, thinking it would shift better in it's intended place.
