[Closed] diadora shoes - any good?

My Sidi's are on their last legs and there's no way I can afford to replace them with another pair of Sidi's. Looking about there are some good deals to be had on Diadora MTB shoes - the TeamRacer etc.

Having never tried them myself wondered what the collective opinion / experience was?

I have some (can't remember the name) and I don't think I will buy Diadora again. They are not the best built shoes in the world tbh.

Mixed results here. MTB, useless, soles crack & pulled a cleat out of the shoe once on Jacobs ladder.

Road, better. Stiffish soles, but not carbon stiff.

I find Diadora have quite a nice wide toe box, in general I feel they are a wider comfy shoe. Prefer the fit of diadora to the fit of my current Spesh BG MTB shoes.

Mate swore by them, because of their wide fitting.

Good bargains to be had around ebay.

Watch out for the sizing. Most shoes I'm a 44 (or 45 sometimes) but in Diadora I need a 46.

The Chilli MTB Boots survived their first winter very well - 2 rides per week.

TBH I wouldn't rule out using them again, despite the issues I had with the MTB shoes, and that is because a) that was a good few years ago b) I liked the fit (still like them on the road shoe side of things).

I use them on road -very comfy but I did pay £180.
I have wide feet that narrow down at the ankle and found my buckle not tight enough but on the road it quite tight and had to loosen them up and perfect fit.

I have shimano shoes -narrow fit and carbon souls great but prefer my Dia's. Had Sidi Dragons but always fell to bits on the trail with soft souls-replaceable grips with tougher options form Sidi and look very nice.

I had some Diadora mtb shoes, they seemed reasonably well made but they were very narrow (which was a big problem in winter as I couldn't wear appropriate socks). Buy a size bigger if you have wide feet.

The mesh on mine was too open and grass seeds and grit got in them constantly? Stopping mid race to pull out grass heads is something I always forget to factor in.

I got about 8 years sporadic riding out a pair of Jalpenos, great for warm weather as lots of mesh, conversly quite good in the wet as the dont hold a lot of water. finally crapped themselves last year and I replaced them with 661 cheap and cheerfuls which suck by comparison.

I have only ever used Diadora shoes, I really get on well with them but doubt I would pay full whack for a pair.

The time has come for me to replace mine but I cant find any decent deals on a 44.5 so am moving to another shoe!

Been using a pair of Diadoras on my mountainbike for the last 5 years.
Used week in week out with no problems but the stitching is just starting to go,but are still usable. It would be the first make i'd look at when i need another pair.

I am on my second pair of diadora scorpions. For the price I got them for I think they are very good. They have lasted really well. Current pair about 3 years old and still good. Bit like a bit like my old Sidi's re fitting but loads cheaper.
