[#9885994]

I have a shimano 8000based ebike

It has the battery BT-E8020, display sc-e8000 and power level switch sw-e8000 which bluetooths to my iphone.

Therefore to add a m8050 rear mech ony (so no front mech)(its currently xt 11 spd) I think I need

- right hand 11 sp 8000 di2 shifter

- m8050 rear mech

- cable from right shifter to display

- cable from display to rear mech

- tlew02 install tool

and I think I can install/adjust the mech using the display unit and shifters

does that sound right ???????

Bounced, hoping somebody might have done this

Not sure if (as I'm not using L shifter/front mech) if I need the junction box between the shifter and the deraillieur

As long as you have the display, shifter and mech you will be fine as long as you have enough plug ports.

The display IS a junction box. ย My 1x set up is - Shifter, Junction Box A, battery and rear mech.

Yes - my setup is:

Shifter to display

Battery to display (from steerer)

Single cable from display to rear mech

thanks as the long cable was my original plan - I wasn't sure about the junction box for just a rear

However I have now readย the shimano dealer manual it appears there is a rear mech port built in to the motor

see section 3-3

the wiring diagram suggests that rshifter to computer, computer to motor and then motor to rearmech wis how to do it .........

It looks as if the junction box, computer or motor all act as junction boxes

I'll probably try the motor cable as it makes cabling easier (*I think/TBD as I investigate)
