If it stays that wet, surely it has to favour some of the Brits.... (For evidence, see Mr Whippy Hart)

Rachel is on fire this year.

The track is insane, I think it's hard to pick a winner. There are going to be some major spills. Roll on Sunday and Red Bull TV

Awesome!!! To truly judge it we need an average STW pinner running it too, does show that talent lasts 🙂

Love it.

Wouldn't mind a go at riding that track myself... in the dry.

Nice to see Warner riding when he actually knows the track and the bike, for once!

Fresh from the GW

Tricky conditions, technical long track - I'm going to stick with Greg - he's got a very level head and he'll get down quick and safe.

There will be a load of younger Lads prepared throw themselves at it hoping to hang on and "do a Danny Hart" but I don't think you can be that lucky on such a long and technical track.

Can't wait to see it, I'm currently buying brownie points by suffering Strictly so I can watch it in peace when the kids go to bed

Looks like it'll be a fair bit drier for the race.

Red Bull TV says women's race starting 11.30 BTW. Seems we will get live coverage of it.

🙂

So far this isn't a race, they are just trying to survive the bottom part of the course.

Reckon we can get the title changed to spoilers...

Didn't look easy for any of them really. The gaps tell a big story, going to be tough to go perfect down there an very easy to drop 5s getting out of shape. Money on the consistent rider for the men? Minaar could be the one unless Gwinn works out how to part the mud lower down or gap all the bridges.

Heading away from the wild riders at this point, just too much to catch them out up there.

Anyway 15mins to go before the tumble and survive end of the Mens field 🙂

Brutal track, most of the riders just tip-toeing their way down mountain goat style, shame as it looks like they're going slowly (they're not!)....they just can't let loose like some of the other tracks this year.

I know people (including the riders) slate the bike-park tracks but at least they give a sense of speed.....hell even Danny Hart at a sopping wet Champery looked faster than the riders on this track....I can only imagine it's clay like, greasy, and virtually impossible to steer on.

I don't think Gwin is going to get this, this is very much European conditions and I think it'll go to a Euro rider.

Well done Greenland and Rachel so far, the Brits still doing well on the world stage.

I'm sticking with Troy FTW, I think.

Could be one of many though. It's worlds and plenty of riders will be going hard, odds are one of them will stick a perfect run.

Got a feeling Thirion could pull it off again as well.

Looking at the start list I reckon Hill and Hannah will be on the top 2 steps for quite a while

Interesting that Atherton would have only finished about 24th in the junior men's! Laurie put 36 seconds on to her.

Thems some quick kids!

They showed the women struggling over that slippy wooden bridge every run - haven't seen it once in the men's?

That's just the gaps, lower down the field the riders come so close together that they can't show much of each run. Shame for tv but otherwise the race'd take all day
