I'm no stranger to night riding and the occasional dh run during the hours of darkness but tonight having just fired up the new hope r4 i'm loving it.

I'm a big fan of doing run after run in search of a 'clean' one (almost forgot there's no such thing as perfect one for a second) sooo this seems like a logical progression. DH sessions after dark. I can see myself doing loads midweek this winter.

Did about an hour and a half in the stockport area tonight.

Anyone feeling it?

Obviously the whole being out in the woods mooching up a hill with a fancy bike on you own bit is playing on my mind.

Was down at innerleithen tonight, practicing/light testing for the full beam night downhill race on saturday. Minor difficulty of not being able to tell trails from not-trails because everything's either grey, or buried in pine needles... But otherwise good. Not really digging night-jumping though.
