[Closed] Dexterfying my cellar

I've just started renting a house that has a cellar. It'll be where I'm keeping my bikes and climbing gear etc.. Thing is it's pretty grotty with spider webs, dirt etc and I'd really like to clean it up. If I owned the house I'd refloor it, put up some plaster board on the ceiling and paint it. As its rented I don't want to invest much time & money so I was thinking of nailing up some plastic sheet to the exposed floor beams and draping them down the walls, making a clean area (a la Dexter's murder sites).

Has anyone done something like this? or have a better idea of what I can do to make it make it a more pleasant?

p.s. not actually planning any murders... even if they really deserve it 🙂
