Hello,
I have an almost new SQL caliper with a broken lever and a Deore caliper and lever that I'd like to swap - can I just bosh the SLX caliper on with the Deore lever (with a new olive/insert thingy)??
SLX lever's seem mighty expensive everywhere I've looked.

Pretty sure yes. I have fitted an slx lever to an xt caliper, a deore lever to a different gen xt caliper and a deore caliper to a road lever and all have worked quite happily.
