[Closed] deore hub leaking...out !

Last week I noticed grey-ish grease on the outside of the rubber seal on my rear hub (deore). So I decided to service it fearful of what I might find given the colour that the lithium grease had ended up.

Inside the hub was in pretty good condition. I cleaned it and put it back together.

Today, after a short ride, I noticed the same grey grease around the seal (quite a lot of it). Have I just over-packed it or is the seal not seating correctly - if its letting grease out, how much water will it let in ?! The grease is still pristine under the seal.
