Can anyone tell me where I might get hold of the pin to keeps the pads in place on your bog standard deore disc brake calipers. It's the split pin kind rather than the screw in type.
Cracking. Thank you.
Or any motor factors including halfords. Bout a 3 mm should do it.
Or 50 for the price of 3?

Any random bit of bent wire , paper clip , bit of key ring etc
Split pins are available from most hardware stores - Robert Dyas, B&Q, Homebase, etc
A bent paperclip would do it. They're not structural, just to stop the pads falling out.
Don't use a paperclip. Get a split pin as advice above
Split pin from a car spares shop or engineers suppliers, garage etc. in fact anywhere bar a bike shop unless they give you a used one free.Ridiculously overpriced through the bike industry.
