Now Royal Mail would take my first born in order to deliver items...who's the stw go-to company for posting a big box of "wheels 'n' stuff".....?

It depends on who is good at delivering to the recipient.
I have a great Parcel Force and Yodel driver - other companies can be a bit meh.
Ask who you're sending them to.

Not sure if it's the least expensive way but I sent one a couple of weeks ago Parcel Force 48 for £12.92.

For smaller stuff my default is [url=http://]myHermes[/url] but for wheels I'd put the size, weight and value into [url= http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk/ ]parcelmonkey[/url] and [url= http://www.parcel2go.com/ ]parcel2go[/url] and pick the most suitable.
